Influencer by SIVA and the Cost of Singing It Twice
A Córdoba Alt-Rock Trio Recorded Its Synth-Laced Single in Spanish, Then Recut It in English
Influencer by SIVA was made in a room the band knows well. Singer and guitarist Kari Mana works as a producer at Maya Studio in Córdoba, Argentina, and that is where the trio tracked it. The single sets alternative rock guitars over programmed sequences and runs two minutes and fifty-two seconds. SIVA first released it in Spanish in November 2024, then recut it in English in March 2025.
SIVA’s English recut of the song sits in the playlist below, and the trio’s artist profile gathers the rest of their coverage. Influencer by SIVA came to this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news sites. Play it once, then keep reading for how the trio built it.

Influencer by SIVA Was Tracked in a Room the Band Owns, So It Could Be Recorded Twice
Owning the room changes the arithmetic. After all, a band that pays by the hour tends to protect what it has. By contrast, a band with regular studio access can afford to make the same song twice, and SIVA spent that freedom on a second language rather than a second mix.
The hook, meanwhile, is the title itself, one word every listener already has an opinion about. In fact, the official video makes the subject literal. Directors Laureano Tapiz and Brenda Bustos cast Euge Zavala as the influencer of the title, with a cameo from guitarist Seba Martinez. So the band does not need to explain the premise. Instead, the word does the setting up, and the song only has to land it.

Kari Mana Wrote the Words and the Whole Trio Wrote the Music Behind Influencer and Its English Recut
The credits are plain about who did what. First, Karina P. Mana wrote the lyric. Then the music came from all three members: Mana on vocals, guitars and sequences, Julio Moreno on bass and guitars, and Cristian Guida Bria on drums. MS Publishing, part of Sony Music Publishing, also handles the song.
Moving a lyric between languages is a craft job in its own right. For one thing, the line has to scan. The vowels also have to sit where the melody wants them, and the hook word has to survive the trip. Influencer survives because it is the same word in both languages, so the English version has a fixed point to build around.
SIVA have written in English before. For example, their early releases, from the 2017 debut EP Longer Days through Reset in 2022, carry English titles. Their 2024 run then moved into Spanish with Estaciones and the first Influencer. As a result, the English recut reads as a band keeping both doors open.

Three Players, a Rack of Sequences and a Chilean Mix Keep Influencer by SIVA Under Three Minutes
The structure is economical. At 2:52, Influencer does not hang around. The sequences supply the synth-pop side of the song and the guitars the 90s rock side, a pairing that sits squarely in indie rock territory. Later, the five-track Alerta EP, released in September 2025, collected Influencer with the rest of the band’s new material.
SIVA produced the track themselves. Mana engineered the session at Maya Studio with José Matiak assisting. The band then sent the tracks to Chile, where Oscar Rai Lama mixed and mastered them at Los Lobos Records. That chain, a home-town room and a cross-border mix, is how a lot of independent South American rock now gets made.
The lineage is easy to trace, and the band are open about it. Garbage is one of the influences Mana names. That band built a 90s career on a similar mix of rock guitars and studio programming, with producer Butch Vig sitting inside the line-up. SIVA, with their singer running the desk, work from the same model. Meanwhile, the name comes from The Smashing Pumpkins, whose 1991 debut Gish includes a song called Siva.
The group formed in 2017 as Mana’s solo project, after more than fifteen years in the band Hyperstatic, and grew into a trio. Along the way SIVA played Cosquín Rock in 2020. Reset later drew coverage from Thoughts Words Action and Brazil’s Music For All. In 2023, Illustrate Magazine also interviewed the band.
From the BestRock.News Curator Team: “What we like about Influencer is the discipline. Two minutes and fifty-two seconds, one word for a hook, sequences doing the pop work and guitars doing the rock work, and a band that cared enough about the song to record it in a second language.”
